I just had the good fortune of a shoot with Madison DeCambra: a model and a mom visiting Spokane from Lynnwood, WA.  Her daughter Evelyn accompanied her to the shoot giving us the chance to take two very different sets of photos.  Some were fashion and some were with her 6  month old baby.

This colorized shot shows off the new dress she just got before this shoot. Glad to help make it useful!

Though Madison is just 21, she’s an old hand at modeling.  She came equipped with a number of potential outfits and we shot 2 looks in this session:   Ripped jeans and a little black dress custom made for  going out dancing.  Madison did her own makeup, but that makes great sense after she tells you she’s considering becoming a make up artist for hire.  We may do another shoot and feature a more extreme makeup job later this week.

Posing is something that she’s  well versed in, so just be ready to fire the shutter and you’ll be rewarded as she flows through a variety of looks.  She’s good at taking direction, but needs very little.

Madison is a stay at home mom, and her days are filled with Evelyn, her 6 month old daughter.  She’s a very easy baby it seems, but then I’m not the one who has to get up when she’s awake at night.  At least in the day, she was very well tempered and happy despite a delay in nap time.  She was fascinated or mesmerized by the strobes in the studio, as you can see in her expression below.

So if you are a model and a mom, or just one of the two and soon to become the other, you may find that they can go together well.  It won’t be without effort, but quite possible.   A few new wardrobe items and you’ll be ready to go!
