The requisite family photo can actually be fun as well as serious, so we did both.

I had the wonderful experience of photographing a pair of strangers, the groom a mystery man I had never met.  Over the course of the preparation and the day working the wedding, they became friends.  Such an amazing family, with talents that really excelled.  You may note pretty great flowers and arrangements all around the venue and think I had something to do with it.  No, the bride’s mom owns a wedding venue and her touch permeated the site.  Her clients don’t always pay her to do “everything”, but here she got to let loose.

I'll brag. I had to cut out a video camera and more and put together 2 shots to make this panorama, a Photoshop experience it was!

I shot this wedding solo, mostly with available light.  Some low power setting speed light work as well.  We got some portrait shots, some fairly traditional, and some that were highlighting the autumnal theme.  Kate said she’s always wanted an autumn wedding, and despite the weather challenges of late October in Spokane she did it.  They had a nice big tent, so when a few drops started to fall just as the processional began, no problem.  The challenge of the weather was met, and only a couple of images were spoiled thanks to raindrops on the lens.

As you can see from the shot to the right, the venue had a lovely waterfall.  Another direction and there’s a view of Mt. Spokane.

The venue was beautiful with a waterfall and fountain. You can see lots of shots showing more on the YouTube link provided.

Here you see just a few shots of my wedding photography.  To see a number of the wedding photos in no particular order, you can view a very quickly made YouTube I made as a “bonus” for them.   https://youtu.be/tG0jkDOzCsM

The wedding ceremony was touching and I’m very happy for this very happy couple.  Such a pleasure to meet you and shoot your wedding!  Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Stokke!

Cheers to you! Cheers to your family and friends!
